Jersey Cheshire Home’s next charity trek takes place in October 2019 – Trek to Petra on this once in a lifetime experience!
If you’re considering signing up and would like to know more then come along to our Open Evening on 3rd October, 6-7:30pm at Eric Young House. Refreshments provided, all welcome.
Directions & Parking: Eric Young House is located on Rope Walk at Mount Bingham. Due to very limited on site parking you’re best to reach us on foot via Green Street – walking from town continue on Green Street for 100m after which you’ll find a lane on the right. Follow the lane up and round to the left and after 50m JCH will be on your right hand side.
About the Trek: The Jordan Desert Trek entails five days of trekking starting near the dead sea and finishing in the city of Petra. This challenging and adventurous trek takes us through unique landscapes in one of the friendliest countries in the world, ending at the impressive rock-hewn facades of Petra’s red canyons, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Accompanied by Bedouin guides we will trek through mountain and desert terrain using ancient trails. We will sleep under the stars in remote desert camps en route to the beautiful city of Petra. At the end of our trip, we’ve earned a well-deserved treat and we spend our last day exploring this lost city carved into the desert mountains.
The Jordan Desert Trek is open to people of all ages and from all walks of life who will come together to do something amazing. It will be life-changing in so many ways; achieve new personal goals, create unbeaten memories and experience all of this with like-minded people, but most importantly you’ll be making a huge difference by raising much needed funds for Jersey Cheshire Home
