This year we are raising funds for the major renovation of the home’s Hydrotherapy Centre at Jersey Cheshire Home which forms an integral part of our resident’s rehabilitation and well-being.
We’ll have lots of activities and events taking place throughout the year in order to hit our fundraising target of £305,000 and we’d love the community to get involved!
After 20 years constant use the fabric of the pool is now desperately in need of replacement, and so at the same time we can make other much needed improvements to this important facility that is used not only by our residents but also by many visitors, other charitable organisations and care homes.
All “updates” will not only freshen up and modernise the facility but will save in operational costs and most importantly reduce the pools carbon fuel consumption; brought about by the installation of new boilers and pumps, backed by the Energy Efficiency Service.
When the pool reopens we plan to have sensory facilities installed with special effect lighting and sound, a superior hoist for access into the water, greatly improved changing and shower facilities; as well as new circulating pumps with bigger filter beds – everything to enhance the users enjoyment of this fantastic facility at the Jersey Cheshire Home.
We’ll be sharing details of all our activities over the coming months but please get in touch if you would like to discuss the ways you can get involved or to request a fundraising pack firstname.lastname@example.org
