Jersey Cheshire Home is soon to embark upon its biggest project to date, enabling us to increase the number of residents we can accommodate.
We have been caring for physically disabled adults at Eric Young House for over 30 years now and during this time the demand for our services has steadily grown. Increasing the number of individuals we can support will not only benefit the islands community but will also enable us to upgrade those areas of The Home in need of modernisation.
The expansion, which will get underway in the New Year will provide:
- 3 additional en-suite bedrooms
- 6 “upgraded” bedrooms
- New dedicated therapy treatment room
- New “break out” area for staff along with improvements to the admin office facilities
- Improved wash rooms and accessible toilets
- Additional bed/wheelchair lift
- Enhanced nurses station
- New multipurpose area for meetings, training and activities
The cost of these works is significant and once complete are expected to be in excess of £2,000,000. The Home intends to fundraise for this project over time, but will initially utilise its own resources to allow the works to begin.
Given the size of the fundraising target ahead of us we are appealing for your support – perhaps your company may like to sponsor one of our new rooms, the staff in your office might consider running a charity event to help the project, or as an individual you may wish to make a donation.
Please get in touch if you’d like to discuss one of the below, or any other sponsorship opportunities with us:
