Our Residential Facility

Jersey Cheshire Home is the only residential facility on the island, caring solely for physically disabled adults.

Those we care for all have debilitating physical disabilities that mean they can no longer live in their own home. Generally residents will remain with us for at least 10 years, though sometimes stays are shorter due to conditions improving to the extent that individuals can move back to live in their own homes, a pleasure for us to see. Sadly there is an ever-increasing demand for our services and our facility is always at full capacity.

Accommodation: We currently have 25 rooms, 9 of which are en-suite, these include 2 independent living units. Nursing care is available 24hrs a day.

Communal facilities at Jersey Cheshire Home compromise of: Dining Room where breakfast, lunch & dinner are served; resident’s family & friends are always welcome to join us for lunch. Activities Room where we hold baking, arts & crafts and computer sessions, and also where residents can play games or even cook a meal with their family. Quiet Room where residents can read, relax and watch TV. Large enclosed patio gardens surrounded by fruit trees, rose bushes and flowering borders.

Cuisine: Our resident Head Chef ensures special dietary needs are met whilst maintaining a range of interesting menus. The main meal each day is lunch with a light meal being served in the evenings.

Activities & Outings: We provide a varied programme of activities and trips for our residents and Day Care users. This includes lunches out, visits to garden centres, day trips to France and Guernsey, arts & crafts sessions, quizzes, add much more!
