Residents and outside users alike can benefit from our dedicated Aquatherapy Centre. It provides an ideal base to receive treatment for conditions including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Epilepsy, Spina Bifida, Strokes and Head injuries.
The recently renovated the facility includes a purpose built pool, maintained at a temperature of 35◦ with access ramps and poolside hoist. Whilst also providing spacious changing and shower facilities complete with hoists and beds to transfer from pool to shower to changing facility.
Alongside there is a fully equipped gym featuring advanced equipment specifically designed to benefit those with disabilities.
Physiotherapy can help your condition in a variety of ways:
➔ Mobility, trunk stability and strengthening exercises
➔ Functional activities to promote independence in daily life
➔ Balance and coordination re-training
➔ Gait re-training to promote safe and functional walking
with appropriate aids
The treatment offered by our qualified physiotherapist can make and maintain improvements in your ability to move and to perform tasks needed to allow you continue with everyday life. Beginning with an individual assessment our team of staff will work with you and your family to identify and achieve realistic goals.
Group rehab sessions are also offered and we regularly work with members of the MS Society, Stroke Association and Parkinson’s Group.
