Rules of Membership

  • The subscription year coincides with the financial year of the Jersey Cheshire Home Foundation and so runs from 1st January to 31st December each year, unless otherwise determined by the Foundation Committee at general meeting.
  • All membership rates to be annual and reviewed on the recommendation of Foundation Committee at general meeting. Life membership not available to member organisations.
  • Membership subscriptions can be paid by cash, cheque or standing order.
  • Subscriptions to be set in advance and be payable by 1st February, or as determined by committee in general meeting, in each financial year.
  • An annual subscription is payable in full each year and there will be no rebates to any member nor will there be any pro rata subscriptions.

Benefits of membership:

  • Every member shall have one vote at general meetings.
  • Members will receive the newsletter and be notified of all Jersey Cheshire Home events.
  • Members will be invited to participate in an annual ‘Chairman’s Dinner’.
  • Preferential rates for the use of the gym, hydrotherapy facilities and respite suite.
  • The real beneficiary of course will be the Home. Through increased membership the Committee, Managers, residents and staff will have greater support for events.

Termination of Membership by the Committee:

The Foundation Committee may by unanimous vote and for good reason terminate the membership of any individual or member organisation provided that the individual or member organisation concerned shall have the right to be heard by the Foundation Committee, accompanied by a friend/colleague, before a final decision is made.

Notices to members:

Any notice required to be served on any member of the Foundation shall be in writing and shall be served by the secretary or the officers of Foundation Committee on any member either personally or by sending it through the post in a prepaid letter addressed or by e-mail to such member at his or her last known address and any letter or e mail so sent shall be deemed to have been received within five days of posting for a letter or two days for an e-mail.
